Your senior session is all about capturing who you are at this exciting moment in life—your personality, your passions, and the people (or pets!) who matter most. While the outfits and locations are key, what really brings your photos to life are the meaningful extras you include. Here are my top 5 things to bring or incorporate into your senior photo session to make it truly unforgettable:

1. Family
Yes, this session is about you, but your family has been by your side through it all. Including a few shots with parents, siblings, or even grandparents is such a special way to honor that support system. These moments are often the ones that bring the biggest smiles (and sometimes a few happy tears!).
Pro Tip: We’ll grab a few quick shots with your family at the start or end of the session, so it doesn’t take away from your time in the spotlight.

2. Friends
Want to include your ride-or-dies? Let’s do it! Whether it’s your best friend, your whole group, or even just one special person, bringing a friend along makes the session more fun and gives you memories together. These images can be silly, sweet, or just plain real—and they’re always a hit.
Bonus: Friends are great for helping with outfit changes, hyping you up, and making you laugh between poses.
3. Sports + Hobbies
From jerseys to gear, trophies to instruments—your passions tell your story. Whether you’re a dancer, swimmer, artist, or cheerleader, bring something that represents what you’ve poured your time and heart into during high school.
Ideas: Letterman jackets, pom poms, ballet shoes, paintbrushes, footballs, tennis rackets—the possibilities are endless and always personal.

4. Your Car
If you love your ride (or just want some fun, stylish shots), let’s feature it in your session! Whether it’s your first car, a vintage truck, or your dream wheels, including your car adds edge and personality to your gallery. It’s also a great way to mix up the look and create standout images.
Location Tip: Parking garages, open roads, or grassy fields all make great spots for car shots!

5. Pets
Your furry best friend is definitely welcome! Pets add joy, unpredictability, and the sweetest moments to your session. Whether it’s your dog, cat, horse, or something more unique, they’re a big part of your life—and they deserve a moment in front of the lens too.
Helpful Hint: Bring a friend or parent to help manage your pet during the session when they’re not in photos.
🎉 Bonus: A Personal Prop
This could be anything that speaks to your personality—your favorite book, a cowboy hat, a bouquet of wildflowers, your guitar, a suitcase (hello travel goals), or even your favorite snack! Props can bring an editorial flair, help you loosen up, or add just the right touch of “you.”
